Fr. Pedro Arteaga, MSpS preached, the annual retreat for priests of the diocese of Stockton from May 6-10. There were 68 participants. Fr. Pedro guided them in meditations on the beautiful joy of being priests in a world that needs their witness, their service, and their love. He also shared with them the riches of the Spirituality of the Cross. Several of the priests expressed their desire to form a community of brotherly support. In a few months, they will have a first meeting to re-initiate the Fraternity of Christ the Priest in this diocese. Please pray for them that the re-grouping of the Fraternity may be fruitful and bring many blessings not only to the priests, but also to the people they serve!
