On Saturday, March 2nd, Fr. Alexandro Rubio, MSpS and Br. Lucio Galicia, MSpS attended the annual YCP (Young Catholic Professionals) Lenten retreat, which was held at Mount Angel Abbey and Seminary. This was the most highly attended retreat in the history of the Portland Chapter of YCP, with over 220 participants. YCP is an organization for Young Adults, giving them a space to express and grow in their faith, meet other Catholic young adults, and develop their identity as Professionals from their Catholic, faith perspective. On this occasion, Br. Lucio served as a small group discussion leader and Fr. Alex helped with confessions. Both took the opportunity to be with, listen to, and accompany the retreatants. In the past, Fr. Alex has also been a speaker at these events. This year the conference was given by Archbishop Alexander Sample. He spoke about the importance of developing a personal relationship with Christ, who heals our wounds.
