Encounter with Bishop Mark Seitz, coordinator of the Migration Commission of the USCCB

On March 2, 2024, the Theologate and Postulancy communities in San Antonio, TX attended a presentation given by Bishop Mark Seitz on social justice and ministry to the immigrant families entering the country in search of a better life. The event was hosted by the Inter-Congregational Novitiate and Temporary Professed Formation Program in San Antonio. Bishop Seitz, Bishop of the Diocese of El Paso, TX as well as the coordinator of the Migration Commission of the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) helped us to reflect on the reality of the incoming immigrant families, as well as our own attitudes and actions towards them. The event was also a wonderful opportunity to get to know the other religious brothers and sisters in San Antonio. Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, MSpS also stopped by and encouraged everyone to not just stand together, but to be united.

On March 3, on the anniversary of the Easter of Our Mother, Concepción Cabrera de Armida, we attended Mass at the Cathedral at 12 noon, meeting with the Family of the Cross and Bishop Gustavo García Siller, MSpS.
